The Striped Cow produces high-quality beef for the rolling hills of Western Connecticut.
The farm chose to breed only Belted Galloway cattle, which are a Scottish heritage breed that is renowned for its quality and distinctive white “belt”. When raising their cattle they use organic methods like using grass with supplements of kelp and trace minerals for health, and not using antibiotics on the herd. Giving the herd a low-stress, free-range lifestyle makes a happy farm and a happy community.
